Plein Air Painters of Chicago

Guest Demo, Instructor and Critic for the Plein Air Painters of Chicago.

Today's location will be at the main Westside entrance to Lincoln Park Zoo.

Demo starts off at 8:00 am and runs to 9:00am, Painters paint from 9:00-noon.

At noon we'll have a short critique session discussing each piece and whats working and whats not perfect yet. Free to all.

The White House of Barrington

I'll be joining two other award-winning artists painting Downtown Barrington, IL. I'll be Plein Air Painting in front of the White House of Barrington, IL to celebrate the launch of Art in Nature event at Crabtree Nature Center happening on Sept 10th.

Painting will take about 2 hours, followed by a gathering and reception in The White House.

Artworks from all three artists will be on display and available for purchase. Tax proceeds will benefit downtown Barrington.

Plein Air Cedarburg, WI

Recognized as the largest gathering of artists in Wisconsin, 150 nationally recognized and local artists will leave the comforts of their studios and spend over a week painting outside ... rain or shine.

The resulting fresh-off-the-easel paintings capture a summer moment in Ozaukee County. These are paintings of small town life, charming historical structures, favorite coffee shops, lakefront vistas, and picturesque countryside.

Unlike other plein air events, Cedarburg offers original art for everyone. More than 600 paintings are for sale in a wide range of subjects and prices.

Why Paint?

I'll be demonstrating my love for painting on this day. I'll also be showing my oil painting techniques for floral still life. I'll bring and use my different tools, techniques and effects to aid me in achieving a strong design and compelling results. I also enjoys telling stories and revealing secrets for success from my 35 years as a professional artist.

Barrington's White House

I'm honored to be the first artist to open the Barrington's White House Community and Cultural Center in celebration of Barrington’s 150th anniversary. I will be showing 10 of my recent oil and watercolor paintings on Thursday, July 30th between 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
The theme will be Art in Nature. I'll also give a small presentation and explaining the thoughts and stories behind some of the works as well as some of my methods of seeing and working to create art.  Please join us.
